Pastured Poultry

Raising our Chickens

Our chickens are raised in large outdoor pens, which are moved to fresh grass daily. The chickens eat primarily feed that we mix ourselves here on the farm which includes corn we grow.  They also supplement their diet with bugs and grass.  Since we believe that raising chickens in a pasture is the best way to raise the healthiest and most delicious product possible, they are only available seasonally.

Purchasing Chicken

Since our chickens are raised outside, we only raise them in the summer.  If you are interested in purchasing our pastured poultry simply send us an email and we will let you know if we have any available.

Our poultry is butchered at a local state inspected facility.  When we have scheduled a date for the butchering we send an email out to the customers on our email list to let them know.  We try to have a pick up day on our farm that same afternoon for customers to come and get chicken (and beef, if available).  Chickens that day would be fresh, after that they are frozen and available until they sell out.  We often have them throughout the year. The chickens are sold whole only and range from 3-6 pounds each.  They currently cost $4.50 per pound. If you would like to be added to our email distribution list, just send us and email!
